Delete your CityChat account

CityChat is published by Applied AI sp. z o.o. This page explains how to delete your CityChat account and all data associated with it, and exactly what is deleted, what is kept, and for how long.

1. Delete your account in the app (fastest)

  1. Open the CityChat app (iOS or Android) and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Delete account & data.
  4. Confirm. Your account is deleted immediately — no waiting period, no e-mail exchange needed.

2. Or request deletion by e-mail

If you no longer have the app installed, write to [email protected] from the e-mail address you used to sign in (this is how we verify it is your account) with the subject "Delete my account". We will delete the account and confirm within 30 days at the latest — usually much sooner.

3. What is deleted

Deleting your account immediately and permanently removes:

  • your account and the e-mail address it is registered to,
  • your favorites,
  • your entire chat history,
  • all AI-memory entries,
  • your push-notification registrations,
  • the link between your account and any purchase records.

Tip: you can also delete your AI-memory entries or individual chats at any time without deleting the account, in Settings → AI memory.

4. What is kept, and for how long

A few categories survive account deletion for a limited time, exactly as described in our privacy policy:

  • Usage logs (visual-search queries and notification history): deleted automatically within 90 days.
  • Advertising-transparency records (which sponsored result was shown; kept to meet ad-disclosure obligations): retained for up to 2 years, but the link to your account is removed the moment the account is deleted.
  • Sign-in tokens and the IP address recorded when a sign-in link was requested: deleted automatically within 7 days.
  • Database backups: rotated automatically; every backup is deleted no later than 30 days after it was made, so deleted data leaves all backups within 30 days.

Nothing else is retained. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play remain in your Apple or Google account history — those records belong to Apple/Google, not to us.
